More Like Jesus

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

Drink Deep From the Well:

We have to choose to quench our thirst and fill the void in our hearts not by the voices of the world but through the sweet promises of the Word.

Transformation comes through conviction, and through conviction comes growth, and through growth comes trust.

To be more like Jesus we must allow our lives to be transformed through the renewing of our minds. We must allow God to intercede on the things in our life that are keeping us back so that he can prune us for better things that are yet to come. And we have to have the courage to stand back and surrender to the work he's doing.

When we know the Word we are able to build up an arsenal of scripture and truths to combat the enemy when he tries to attacks us. We can have the courage and strength we need to stand up for Our God in the moments we would have just ran away before.

There is no greater than weapon than the weapon of being able to declare victory over your situations and circumstances that would otherwise tear you down.

When you know Gods Word, nothing can stand in your way of being victorious and spreading light in the same way Jesus did.

Pray More

Prayer is the direct connection that leads us to God. He gave us His Spirit so that we could hear from him, tune into him, and feel his glory and grace rain on us.

If we don't pray, if we neglect this gift that we've been given, we will surely not prosper as much as we are called to.

Pray in the shower, pray when its difficult, pray when it doesn't feel right, pray as your first resort, not your last.

No prayer goes unnoticed or unchecked. God is omnipotent and hears our cried right where you are. You don't have to have it all together and drop down to your knees to start a prayer. You just have to be vulnerable, open, and ready to be changed from the inside out.

Jesus never stopped praying.

Choose gratefulness

When you decide that gratefulness will outweigh any of the heartache or brokenness that you are feeling, your mindset will shift.

Its in the moments that you feel like being most ungrateful that you should choose to be the most grateful. Those are the moments that you get the most traction. Those are the moments that you get to dig deep and FEEL God working in you and through out. Because gratitude is the opposite of condemnation. Don't condemn yourself to negativity and suffering when you have the opportunity to see God work in your life in a new way.

Jesus was being beaten, broken, tortured, and crushed...and yet He walked in a posture of gratitude because He knew Whose He was and the plan He was fulfilling.

Be grateful and know that everything you go through is for a plan that is leading you to something so much greater than you could ever imagine.

Listen, and Obey

When we are willingly, and gratefully doing what God has called us to do, change is inevitable.

"Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? Romans 16:6

When we choose to obey, we are bound to obedience and righteousness.

If we clearly hear a call to move or a call to change direction and we ignore it, then what are we living for?

We have to get on the same wavelength as Jesus. We have to silence our own thoughts and our own voice enough to hear the still small voice of Jesus calling us to move. And we must obey. Because just like Jesus moved when God said move, there was a greater blessing on the other side of obedience.

Dont stand at the edge of your purpose, run into it with an obedient and adoring heart.

Reflect on todays verse:

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

1. In what ways can you commit to being more like christ this week?

2. How is God speaking to you through this verse? What stands out to you the most?

3. Was there a lesson in this passage? How does it pertain to your life right now?

4. How do you feel God is using this passage to you move and grow you?

5. What are some steps you can take this week to embrace, and live out this truth?

Father,

I want my life to be living proof of your love. Help me to be more like you daily. To pray more, choose unshakeable gratitude, listen, and obey what you tell me. I want to be fully wrapped in Your Grace every day that I live. Grow me today Father. Change me to be more like you.

Amen
